Lockdown: Noida witnesses panic buying on Wednesday

Noida residents flocked to local markets and some of them indulged in panic buying after reports that the state government has decided to seal Covid hotspot areas in 15 districts. Reports suggest these districts would also see greater enforcement which could mean closure of most shops and only doorstep delivery of essential items. The 15 districts include Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Meerut, Varanasi, Shamli, Bareilly, Bulandshahr, Firozabad, Maharajganj, Sitapur, Saharanpur and Basti.
