Borussia Dortmund are reportedly lining up Valencia starlet Ferran Torres as a replacement for Jadon Sancho, amid Manchester United's interest, according to reports.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that United are still holding internal transfer talks despite the suspension of football due to the coronavirus pandemic.

United are looking to inject more flair and quality into their team when the transfer window reopens and are long-term admirers of Sancho, who perfectly fits into the club's new strategy of signing young, talented, preferably British players.

The 20-year-old has been a revelation since he took the risk of leaving Manchester City in 2017 in search of first team football and has followed up his breakout campaign with an even better season this year, with Lionel Messi being the only other player to have over 12 goals and assists.

Sancho has been touted for a big money return to the Premier League for several months and, according to the Daily Mirror, it may be a step closer to fruition as Dortmund are reportedly looking for his replacement.

It's claimed that the Bundesliga side have opened up negotiations for Valencia prodigy Torres, who has impressed in La Liga and has already earned his first Spain cap.

However, Dortmund won't let Sancho go on the cheap and United still reportedly face competition from Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus to sign their top target.

Meanwhile, Swansea City and Wales defender Joe Rodon is reportedly on the radar of United and Manchester City.

That’s according to WalesOnline who state the 22-year-old is attracting big Premier League interest and would be available for £20million. Rodon is a former teammate of Daniel James.

However, MEN Sport understands that a new centre-back isn't high on United's list of priorities following the arrival of Harry Maguire last summer.
