Two additional cases announced in Cattaraugus County

Two more positive cases of COVID-19, including one involving a health-care worker, have been announced by the Cattaraugus County Health Department.

The 11th case is a female resident who lives in the southeastern part of the county with no significant travel history. She was seen at an Urgent Care for post nasal drip and headaches and diagnosed with sinusitis. She later developed fever, cough and shortness of breath, and on Monday, she was tested for COVID-19. The result of the test on Tuesday indicated that she was positive for COVID-19.

The 12th case is a male resident who lives in the northeastern part of the county, a health-care worker who was a close contact with a known positive COVID-19 person. He developed a post-nasal drip, dry cough and fatigue. He was tested for COVID-19 on Monday and his test result on Tuesday confirmed that he was positive for COVID-19.

The patients are resting at home, and now under quarantine with their families. They will be assessed for any medical support that we can provide and we will monitor their symptoms closely.
