First case of COVID-19 in Alabama State Veterans Home
The first case of COVID-19 at an Alabama veterans home has been confirmed.According to a news release from the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs, the patient is a resident of the Bill Nichols State Veterans Home in Alexander City.The patient was planed in isolation and the ADVA says the veteran's symptoms are improving."The state veterans homes continue to follow protective measures for employees and residents by limiting entry into the homes to only employees, necessary external medical personnel, and immediate families of residents facing end-of-life situations.", as stated in the news release.As this time, there are no other positive cases in the other Alabama State Veterans Homes, which are located in Bay Minette, Huntsville, and Pell City.
