TIRUPATI: Officials of the district administration and elected representatives in Anantapur district were alarmed after a Tahsildar contracted the novel coronavirs and was admitted to the state government's coronavirus hospital in the district on Tuesday.
District collector Gandham Chandrudu who confirmed that a Tahsildar working in Anantapur district tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, added that the official was being treated at the district coronavirus hospital at present.

Meanwhile, yet another physician working at the government general hospital at Anantapur tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Tuesday. He is the 6th victim from the medical fraternity at the Anantapur GGH to contract coronavirus as five others including two doctors and three paramedic staff working were the first victims to have contracted the novel virus.
