Coronavirus cases in Delhi surpass 2,000-mark, death toll rises to 45 | Check List of 78 Hotspots
Coronavirus cases in the national capital have crossed the 2,000-mark while the death toll has risen to 45. In the last 24 hours, Delhi has reported 107 COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while addressing the public on Sunday, spoke of the severity of the situation. "Coronavirus in Delhi is spreading rapidly. If there was no lockdown in place the condition could have been even worse," he said.
Kejriwal said that no additional activities will be allowed in Delhi, as was earlier proposed by the Central government. "At this point in time no new activities will be allowed in Delhi and strict lockdown norms will be followed. We will reassess the situation on April 27, any decision of relaxation will be taken then," he said.
Coronavirus hotspots in Delhi have also been increased to 78 as 2 more were added on Sunday.
