One more case of lockdown violation was registered in Gandhinagar on Sunday against a ‘Sura’ tabligh jamaat member who had gone to Bhusaval in Maharashtra before the lockdown and returned on Sunday. He has been sent for medical check-up.

AHMEDABAD: One more case of lockdown violation was registered in Gandhinagar on Sunday against a ‘Sura’ tabligh jamaat member who had gone to Bhusaval in Maharashtra before the lockdown and returned on Sunday. He has been sent for medical check-up.
DGP Shivanand Jha said now the total number of cases registered against the ‘Sura’ and ‘Saad’ tabligh jamaatis has reached 14.

Concerned about policemen testing positive for Covid-19, the DGP said personnel on Covid duty were being given ayurvedic drinks, vitamin C, healty food, lemon juice and buttermilk to increase their immunity.
Jha said that all police lines and police vehicles are being sanitized every day, so that the forces can patrol in safe conditions and their families live in safe environment.
“The 23 policemen who have tested corona positive are being given the best of treatment at SVP hospital and their families have been quarantined,” Jha said.
