Covid-19: Shutdown sparks panic buying in Balasore, cops conduct flag march

Policemen in Odisha's Balasore district conducted flag march to enforce the complete shutdown announced after new cases of Covid-19 were found in the district. The state government has announced 60-hour complete shutdown in Balasore, Jajpur and Bhadrak from 10 PM of 23 April to 10 AM of 26 April. Earlier, on the night of 23 April, the announcement of the shutdown led to panic buying by consumers and people failed to observe social distancing. It may be remembered that 33 Covid-19 positive cases were found in the three districts in one week.
