25 Covid-19 cases reported in Hingoli, tally jumps to 47

A whopping 25 jawans of Hingoli State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) were confirmed with Covid-19 on Friday. Twenty of the jawans are admitted at Hingoli SRPF quarantine centre and five at isolation ward of Hingoli district civil hospital. All these jawans had earlier tested negative, district civil surgeon Kishor Prasad Shrivas said.

AURANGABAD: A whopping 25 jawans of Hingoli State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) were confirmed with Covid-19 on Friday. Twenty of the jawans are admitted at Hingoli SRPF quarantine centre and five at isolation ward of Hingoli district civil hospital. All these jawans had earlier tested negative, district civil surgeon Kishor Prasad Shrivas said.
"Altogether 41 SRPF jawans have tested positive for coronavirus.
Thirty three of these were posted on bandobast duty at Malegaon and 8 at Mumbai," the district civil surgeon said.
In addition, a 25-year-old man from Akhada Balapur in Hingoli employed by private travels also tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday. He had gone to drop pilgrims to Punjab on April 23 and was under quarantine at Government Ayurvedic College in Nanded after returning on April 28. He is currently admitted at Government Ayurvedic College in Nanded.
So far, 47 persons have been confirmed with Covid-19 in Hingoli district. One of them has recovered and has been discharged, one is taking treatment at Nanded and one at a private hospital in Aurangabad while remaining 45 patients are under treatment in Hingoli.
