Krishnagiri district in
Tamil Nadu, which was a
green zone as there was no
Covid-19 patients, on Saturday reported its first case.
District collector S Prabhakar said a 67-year-old man in Nallur village tested positive for
coronavirus infection. The man had recently visited Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh, the collector said. He was in home quarantine after he returned from Andhra Pradesh.
Eight people, including the patient's family members and his contacts, have been quarantined after he tested positive for Covid-19.
The district administration has sealed Nallur village and sprayed disinfectants there.
