SEB Banka issues EUR 4.5 mln loan to Liepajas Energija power company

SEB Banka has issued a EUR 4.5 mln loan to Liepajas Energija municipal power company, SEB Banka informed.

The bank said that an agreement on the loan has been signed for refinancing the company's loan. SEB Banka has been selected in a closed survey of prices.


The loan has been issued for a period of ten years.


Liepajas Energija board chairman Janis Jansons said that the long-term loan will be used for several projects, including renovation of infrastructure and refinancing of an existing loan.


Liepajas Energija in 2019 posted EUR 18.35 mln in turnover, while the company's profit was EUR 4.46 mln.


Liepajas Energija was registered in 2005. The company belongs to Latvenergo (51%), Liepaja city council (39%) and Energijas Risinajumi (10%).


SEB Banka is the third largest bank in Latvia by assets.
