North Dakota winner claims $1 million Powerball ticket

The winning ticket was sold at Jason’s Super Foods, 975 Eagle Drive, in New Town.

BISMARCK -- A $1 million winning Powerball ticket sold in New Town, N.D., for the April 20 drawing has been claimed.

The winning ticket matched five white balls with the numbers 2, 20, 49, 61, 67 and the Powerball was 20. The Power Play multiplier was 2. The winner from New Town, who chose to remain anonymous, has no immediate plans for the winnings, North Dakota Lottery officials said Monday, May 4.

The ticket was sold at Jason’s Super Foods, 975 Eagle Drive, in New Town. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning Powerball ticket. New Town is in Mountrail County, within the Fort Berthold Reservation.

The ticket was the only Match 5 Powerball winner in the 48 states that sell Powerball for April 20.
