WODC chairman Subash Chauhan passes away

Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) chairman, Subash Chauhan died of cancer at a private hospital here on Sunday.

BHUBANESWAR: Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) chairman, Subash Chauhan died of cancer at a private hospital here on Sunday.
“WODC chairman Subash Chauhan is no more. His untimely demise is extremely painful. I express my deepest condolences,” labour minister Susanta Singh wrote on a Facebook post.
Chauhan, a bachelor, was 54 years old.
He was appointed WODC chief in September 2019. A native of Bargarh district, he had quit BJP and joined BJD days before the 2019 simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections after he was denied saffron party ticket to contest from Bargarh Lok Sabha seat.
Chauhan had long association with RSS and Sangh Parivar and was a former national convener of Bajrang Dal (2010-2012).
He also worked as state president of Hindu Jagaran Manch and convener of Bajrang Dal in Odisha.
