After 18 days, Narmada reports one coronavirus case

A resident of Garudeshwar taluka in Narmada district was tested positive for Coronavirus on May 11. This is the 13th positive case registered in the district that is home to the world’s tallest statue – Statue of Unity. The district had become coronavirus free on May 5 after all the patients recovered from the virus.

VADODARA: A resident of Garudeshwar taluka in Narmada district was tested positive for Coronavirus on May 11. This is the 13th positive case registered in the district that is home to the world’s tallest statue – Statue of Unity. The district had become coronavirus free on May 5 after all the patients recovered from the virus.
It is after 18 days that the district has seen a new case of coronavirus.
The authorities are now trying to ascertain if the young man got infected with the virus due to community spread or travel. The administration is regularly testing people and has done door to door survey of over 81,000 persons in the district.
