Cyclone Amphan: NDRF personnel perform mock drill in Bhadrak, Odisha

NDRF personnel perform mock drills and awareness ahead of cyclone Amphan. NDRF personnel created awareness in coastal areas of Dhamara in Odisha’s Bhadrak district. Cyclone Amphan is likely to unleash heavy rain and high-velocity winds in coastal districts of Odisha. Odisha govt is planning to evacuate 11 lakh people to cyclone shelters. IMD has warned that cyclone Amphan will intensify into an Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm within the next 6 hours. It will cause heavy rainfall in the coastal areas. Odisha govt has started evacuation process and 12 districts including Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Cuttack, Khurda and Nayagarh have been asked to remain alert.
