On cam: Under-construction bridge collapses in Odisha's Balasore

An under-construction bridge collapsed in Odisha's Balasore district on May 21. The administration was making the bridge to help people of Balasore cross Budhabalanga River. The entire incident was caught on camera. Cyclone Amphan made a landfall in coastal regions of Odisha and West Bengal on May 20. Several trees were uprooted, roofs blown away and power infrastructure shattered in Bhadrak, Balasore, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada as the worst cyclone of the Bay of Bengal in 20 years triggered strong wind accompanied by heavy rain along the Odisha coast on its way towards West Bengal-Bangadesh.
