NOIDA: Commuters travelling towards the airport and
railway stations from
Gautam Budh Nagar and those returning from here would not need a pass from the Gautam Budh Nagar authorities.
In an order issued by the Gautam Budh Nagar police late Friday evening, the additional DCP (law and order) Ashutosh Dwivedi directed to the subordinate cops posted at Noida-Delhi borders that those travelling towards railway stations and airport would not need a pass.
“The Government of India has decided to start
operation of domestic flights from May 25, 2020 and trains from June 1, 2020 for which,
online ticketing is being done. Hence, all the cops on duty should ensure that those possessing confirmed air tickets/railway e-tickets, be allowed to travel to the airport or railway station. For this, they would not require any pass,” the order reads.
While the order does not mention about those returning towards Gautam Budh Nagar from the airport and railway station, when contacted, a spokesperson for the GB Nagar commissioner of police told TOI that the same would apply in case of those returning from the airport and railway stations.
“Since people would be travelling back from airports and railway stations too, they too would not be needing any pass,” the spokesperson said.
Cops said the order would come into affect as soon as flight operations begin on May 25, 2020.
