Covid-19: Three doctors test positive at Mehrauli clinic

Three doctors at Mehrauli Health Centre which is run by South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) have tested positive for Covid-19. A sanitisation operation has been launched in the area and other necessary protocols are being followed, said a senior south corporation official.

NEW DELHI: Three doctors at Mehrauli Health Centre which is run by South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) have tested positive for Covid-19. A sanitisation operation has been launched in the area and other necessary protocols are being followed, said a senior south corporation official.
“The health centre is located in a containment zone. One of the Covid-19 positive doctors has been admitted in Safdarjung hospital, while the remaining two are in home quarantine.
As many as 35 staff members of the health centre were tested for the novel coronavirus on Saturday and the reports were awaited,” said the SDMC spokesperson.
Several staff members in municipal healthcare facilities, such as Hindu Rao Hospital, Swami Dayanand Hospital, Rajan Babu Hospital and Kasturba Hospital, had earlier tested positive.
As per the North Delhi Municipal Corporation’s May 18 status report, 47 of its hospital staff and 17 of its field staffers had tested positive for Covid-19. On the same day, 306 municipal staff members who had come in contact with the corona positive patients were sent to home quarantine.
