It was a cool but beautiful Memorial Day morning as the United Veterans Council presented a ceremony at a local church.

Friday was 'Trooper Wade Palmer Day' as Palmer and his family were honored in a ceremony on the Missoula County Courthouse steps.

Missoula County Treasurer Tyler Gernant said on Friday that there is little chance that the Department of revenue will provide any relief from property taxes which are due on June 1.

A slight chance of morning rain, then sunny in western Montana with highs in the low 70's.
