Community editor Sydney Mook looks into an audit of Mayville State University released by State Auditor Joshua Gallion last week. The audit indicates the university was not consistently following procurement rules, not retaining proper documentation or approval of student scholarships and room waivers, and inconsistent with accounting practices, possible due to high turnover in the business office.

Regional journalist Ann Bailey reports that area farmers finally are making planting progress. Bailey delves into what the situation looks like as June approaches.

Bailey also talks to Midway Public School pre-kindergarten teacher Katie Ralston, who made a name for herself on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" as one of the United States’ top teachers.

Ralston was one of 100 teachers that DeGeneres honored during a segment of her show on May 14. Ralston’s name scrolled across the screen with the names of teachers across the United States as DeGeneres expressed her appreciation for them.
