RAJKOT: “
Bahut Bauh Shukriya Aap Logon Ka. Hamko Ghar Jane Me Aap Logo Ne Bahut Sahyog Diya” (Many many thanks to all of you who have ensured that I reach my home state) were the words of
Gulam Ansari in his tweet, thanking
Morbi district administration after reaching his home in
Jharkhand.
Ansari was among the hundreds of labourers who were sent to Jharkhand from Morbi in
special shramik express trains arranged by the
Morbi district administration.
Morbi district superintendent of police
Karanraj Vaghela responded to Ansari’s tweet.
“The Morbi district administration arranged for the transportation of migrant labourers back to their home states in special shramik express trains. Before the labourers boarded the coaches of the trains, we ensured that all the trains were sanitized,” said an official from the Morbi district administration.
“We made the seating arrangement in the coaches in such a way that social distancing among the labourers could be maintained. We provided the labourers boarding the trains with food packets and water bottles,” added the official.
