RAJKOT: Amreli
deputy director of agriculture busted a racket of allegedly illegal sell of fertilizer use in the agriculture. A team raided a shop in Khambha taluka of
Amreli district of Gujarat and seized the stock worth Rs 3 lakh. The sale of the fertilizer is regulated under the law.
According to the district administration, the accused were supplying the fertilizers in the villages without licence.
A five-member team raided a shop on bus station road in Khambha on Thursday evening at the time when a truck was unloading the stock of fertilizer. The officers found 410 bags each of 50 KG valued Rs 3 lakh and seized. The samples of this fertilizer sent for laboratory testing.

Aayush Oak told reporters, “People found selling this stock during the interrogation told that they brought it from one Rajendra Parmar from
Talaja taluka of
Bhavnagar district who is having license. We have initiated the legal proceedings against all of them.” Oak also asked farmers to buy fertilizers only with the invoice.
