Two Covid-19 patients died of their comorbidities while 63 more tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the health department updates said.

BHUBANESWAR: Two Covid-19 patients died of their comorbidities while 63 more tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the health department updates said.
The health department tweeted that a 72-year man of Balasore district who was suffering from blood cancer and other chronic ailments had tested positive for Covid19. He has succumbed to his chronic ailments.
As per the death audit report, the cause of death is chronic myelogenous leukemia
Similarly, a 42-year man of Khurda district who was suffering from chronic liver disease and Hepatitis B, had tested positive for Covid19. He has succumbed to his chronic ailments. As per the death audit report, the cause of death is decompensated liver disease with Hepatitis B, the health department said.
With 63 more testing positive for the virus, the number of infected persons rose to 1723. While the number of active positive cases stands at 827, number of cured patients now is 887.
The new positive cases include 12 from Khurda, 11 from Jagatsinghpur, nine from Dhenkanal, seven from Nayagarh, six from Balangir among other districts.
