MUMBAI: Five lakh stranded migrant workers from Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka were ferried by state transport buses till the Maharashtra border, or to nearby railway stations. MSRTC carried out 41,000 trips to transport the migrant workers.
The expense of their transport, which was almost Rs 95 crore, was borne by the state government, according to a government release.
