Shreveport Police are looking for clues in the shooting deaths of two men in the Mooretown neighborhood.

Police were called to the 6200 block of Rufus Drive at about 1am Sunday morning.
Officers found a man suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was rushed to Ocshner LSU Health Shreveport where he later died. He has been identified as 23-year-old Demetrick Lavell Alexander of Shreveport.

Officers learned another man was rushed to Willis Knighton North by private car. He also died. He has been identfied by the Caddo Coroner's office as 35-year-old Dwain Weathers of Shreveport.

Detectives learned that there was a large gathering at the home on Rufus and some sort of dispute erupted during the gathering and several shots were fied. Police believe there are witnesses who have information and they are urging those people to come forward. Crime Stoppers is offering a $4,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible for these murders.
