Christine McGuinness has revealed her three kids are finally regaining their confidence after the blow of the coronavirus lockdown.

Leo and Penelope, six, and Felicity, four, are autistic - supermum Christine has candidly documented their struggles in adapting to the new normal.

They went back to school almost two weeks ago - ahead of the rest of the UK - and she has now revealed it's done them a lot of good.

She shared a snap of the three of them playing happily outside in a paddling pool in a huge step for all three of them.

The proud mum wrote: "My world.

"Honestly, you have no idea how happy this makes me to get all three children outside!

"Their confidence is slowly coming back. They are super sensitive to the sunlight, petrified of anything of anything that moves, flies, bees, birds...and the slightest bit of wind is too loud.

"But here they are, laughing, playing, having fun in our garden!

Christine, who shares the three with husband Paddy, previously opened up on the Nappy Days podcast about how she "blamed herself" for their autism.

"They were with me permanently," she said, "My husband works away a lot so I thought maybe it was me and that I hadn't taught them very well.

"They also never went to nursery or play groups so I blamed myself for them having no social skills.

"I thought it was down to me doing a rubbish job as a mother."

The NHS says it's not known what causes autism.

She announced they'd be heading back to school today, along with other primary school children across England.

"I'm a very proud mummy!" she gushed, "My little trio have been total superstars!"
