James Cameron, Jon Landau Arrive in New Zealand, Prepare to Resume Avatar 2 Production

Avatar 2 will begin filming soon, and both director James Cameron and producer Jon Landau are in New Zealand to continue work on the film. Laundau shared a picture to Instagram of himself and Cameron having arrived in New Zealand, where they will self-isolate for 14 days as required by the government before they can begin filming. They were joined by several members of the film’s production crew.

New Zealand began picking back up on productions last month, paving the way for Avatar 2 to resume filming. Cameron has said that he’s confident the delay will not impact their scheduled December 17th, 2021 release date.
