    Virus: Maharashtra sets up panel to fix testing charges at private labs

    The Maharashtra government has formed a four-member committee to ascertain charges of COVID- 19 tests conducted at authorised private laboratories in the state, state Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Saturday.

    • A case was registered against Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on charge of violating ICMR guidelines on coronavirus testing.
    • The private hospital was issued a directive by the Delhi government on June 3 in this regard.
    • The complaint was filed by Amit Kumar Pamasi, Deputy Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department.
    • Complaint mentioned that the hospital was not using RT-PCR app while collecting Covid samples, which is "mandatory".
