MUMBAI: Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced immediate relief of Rs 75 crore and Rs 25 crore for cyclone-hit Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts, respectively. He clarified it was not a relief package but immediate relief to the districts.
He said the immediate relief should be distributed among small shopkeepers, traders, sculptors and fishermen without delay.

On Sunday, Thackeray held a video-conference with officials to review the damage caused by Nisarga in Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Thane and Palghar districts. He had already declared Rs 100 crore relief for Raigad on a visit there. Thackeray said that Thane and Palghar had suffered relatively lower losses.
Saying some ministers had raised concern over inadequacy of the amount sanctioned, he suggested the criteria for it be revised. He told administration to take locals into confidence while taking relief measures.
