Southern Railway to run Trichy- Chengalpet and Coimbatore–Arakkonam special trains

CHENNAI: Southern Railway will operate three more daily special trains in Tamil Nadu starting June 12. Reservation for the services will begin on June 10.
The trains are Trichy-Chengalpet–Trichy intercity special (via Ariyalur, Villupuram and Melmaruvathur), Arakkonam-Coimbatore–Arakkonam and Trichy-Chengalpet–Trichy (via Mayiladuthurai and Kumbakonam).
Train No 02606 Trichy-Chengalpet superfast special will leave at 7am and reach Chengalpet at 11.30am.
Train No 02605 Chengalpet–Trichy superfast special will leave at 4.45pm and reach Trichy at 9.05pm.
The trains will have stops at Ariyalur, Villupuram, Melmaruvathur.
Train No 06795 Chengalpet–Trichy special will leave at 2pm and arrive at Trichy at 8.10pm.
Train No 06796 Trichy- Chengalpet special train will leave at 6.30am and reach Chengalpet at 12.40pm.
The trains will stop at Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Tirupadiripuliyur, Villupuram, Melmaruvathur.
Train No 02675 Arakkonam – Coimbatore Jn superfast intercity special will leave at 7am and reach Coimbatore at 2.05pm.
Train No 02676 Coimbatore–Arakkonam superfast intercity special will leave at 3.15pm and reach Arakkonam at 10pm.
The trains will stop at Katpadi, Jolarpet, Salem, Erode and Tirupur.
Southern Railway, following the state government’s request, is already operating some special trains connecting cities like Coimbatore, Madurai and Trichy.
