Kalyan: Three kids stuck inside lift for 2 hours rescued

KALYAN: The Fire Brigade on Tuesday night rescued three children stuck inside the lift of a residential building in Kalyan for two hours. The lift door was cut open with a hydraulic cutter.
The kids, between 4 and 12 years old, live in Mohan Kheda Avenue building in Kalyan (West). They got into the lift at 6.30 pm to go to the ground floor, but the lift suddenly got stuck on the third floor.
Fire officer Vinayak Lokhande said, “We got a call at 8.20 pm and rushed to the spot. The children were rescued in 15 minutes.” Lokhande said the exhaust fan was working in the lift due to which the kids were safe.
