A mystery millionaire is celebrating after winning the $410million Mega Millions jackpot from a $2 ticket bought in Arizona.

It is the first time that the jackpot has been won in Arizona, and the win is the largest in a year.

The ticket for Tuesday night's draw was bought at a Circle K in Glendale, Arizona, the state lottery commission said.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350 in the 45 states where it's offered, plus Washington and the US Virgin Islands.

Last August Arizona joined a growing number of states allowing people who win lottery jackpots of $100,000 to remain anonymous forever.

Lottery winners in Delaware, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Texas, North Dakota and Ohio are also allowed to conceal their identities if the winnings exceed a certain dollar amount, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Other states, like New York, make it easy for winners to collect their prizes under the cover of an L.L.C. or an entity.

John Gilleland, spokesman for the Arizona Lottery, said all big winners since the new law was enacted have opted to remain anonymous.

'Every single person that has won that sort of money has opted for that,' he said.

The winner can either claim an annuity with 30 annual payments, or a lump sum of $319.9 million.

The winning five white numbers are 1, 5, 9, 10, and 23, and the gold Mega Ball is 22.

There were 13 winning tickets for the $1 million prize, claimed by matching all five white balls.

Nine of those tickets were sold in Florida, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Washington.

The other four tickets matched the five white balls and the Megaplier, meaning that the ticket is worth $2 million.

Those four tickets were sold in Mississippi, New York, and South Carolina.

Winners have 180 days from the Mega Millions drawing to claim their prizes. After 180 days, the tickets expire and cannot be redeemed.

The next Mega Millions draw is June 12 with the jackpot reset to $20 million.

America's largest-ever single lottery win was a $1.537 billion Mega Millions jackpot, won by a person in Simpsonville, South Carolina in October 2018.

The biggest jackpot ever was a $1.586 billion Powerball, won in January 2016 and split between three people.
