BIHARSHARIF: Two persons were shot dead in different parts of
Nalanda on Friday night. Three other persons were killed and two died under mysterious circumstances in the past three days across the district.
In the first case miscreants shot dead one
Shambhu Singh near a bridge on
Bhedia-Suradih Road under
Telmar police station in Nalanda.
According to police sources, the deceased Shambhu Singh accompanied by a co-villager Sunny Kumar was returning to his village Bhedia from Harnaut market on his motorbike around 8.30 pm on Friday when some unidentified criminals shot at him near the bridge on Bhedia-Suradih Road around 1 km from his village.
A police officer posted at Telmer said Shambhu Singh died on the spot and his companion escaped unhurt. He said an FIR was awaited to be lodged in this regard but raids were being conducted to arrest the suspects.
In the second incident miscreants shot dead a 55-something man in a field near
Chistipur village under Karaiparshurai police station area on Friday night.
Karaiparshurai police station SHO Avdhesh Kumar said the deceased identified as Bindeshwar alias Sadhuji was a resident of village Chistipur under his police station jurisdiction.
He said his wife Rajkumari Devi has accused Ranjeet Yadav of village Gwal Bigha behind the murder of her husband. The police officer said an investigation was on and those found guilty for committing the crime would be arrested.
On Thursday three persons were killed and a man had died under mysterious circumstances in different parts of the district.While a day before that on Tuesday a man was allegedly beaten to death in Islampur in the district. Nalanda SP Nilesh Kumar said several persons were arrested in connection with two murders and scientific investigations were being conducted in other cases and soon the culprits involved in all cases will be arrested.
