84% of people in Raigad get back electricity post cyclone Nisarga

In Raigad district, which had faced major power outage due to Cyclone Nisarga, the work of restoration has been on a war footing. As on Friday, 84% of people in Raigad's 1690 villages have got back electricity.

MUMBAI: In Raigad district, which had faced major power outage due to Cyclone Nisarga, the work of restoration has been on a war footing. As on Friday, 84% of people in Raigad's 1690 villages have got back electricity.
Of the 10.27 lakh household, more than 8.6 lakh have got back power supply, said MSEDCL chief public relations officer Anil Kamble.
These included places such as as Pen, Alibaug, Roha, Murud, Pali, Mangaon, Tala, Poladpur, Mahad, Goregaon, Srivardhan, Mhasla, Panvel rural, Karjat Khopoli and Khalapur.
Close to 30 substations have been repaired and are fully functional again.
