Telangana: Two cousins drown in agricultural well in Mancherial

HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident, two cousins drowned while playing in the agricultural well at Mancherial district on Thursday evening.
The deceased were identified as M Tirumal (15), a Class IX student and Mahesh (8), who was studyinng in Class VI in Rechini village in Tandoor mandal.
According to Tandoor sub-inspector K Sekhar Reddy, the cousins went to agricultural fields to safeguard the lambs when elders took the sheep out for grazing on Thursday morning.As they did not return home till late in the evening, family members grew suspicious and went searching for them.
“As the footwear of the youngsters were found next to agricultural well at the fields, villagers searched in the 10-feet deep water and found the bodies late on Thursday night,” the SI said.
Based on a complaint lodged by the family members of the boys, a suspicious death case was registered under section 174 of CrPC and after the postmortem. The bodies were were handed over to the family members on Friday.
