West Bengal: 16 constables from PTS shifted
Sixteen more constables from the combat force and 1st Battalion posted at Police Training School were transferred to north Bengal on Friday. They will now be posted with Bengal Police in the two Dinajpurs, Darjeeling and Alipurduar.

KOLKATA: Sixteen more constables from the combat force and 1st Battalion posted at Police Training School were transferred to north Bengal on Friday. They will now be posted with Bengal Police in the two Dinajpurs, Darjeeling and Alipurduar.
This comes after 14 others were shifted to north Bengal, the transfer seen as a fallout of a demonstration staged at PTS on May 19 reportedly against Covid mismanagement in the force.
On Thursday, 25 from PTS were transferred to police stations and traffic department. OC-DMG Kankan Roy was shifted to 5th Battalion.
