Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao to visit Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu's family on June 22

HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be paying a visit to the family of late Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu in Suryapet on June 22. Earlier, Congress had slammed the chief minister for not paying homage or calling on the family. The news of the CM's visit was conveyed to the colonel's wife Santoshi and parents - Upendar and Manjula - on Saturday by energy minister Jagadeeshwar Reddy who went to their house in Vidyanagar Colony in Suryapet.
Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Friday said the CM should have personally attended the last rites of Col Babu, who was a son of Telangana. "By not attending the last rites of Col Babu, the CM has shown utter disrespect to his family, all the martyrs and the Indian Army," he said in Kamareddy.
