Man dies after bike hits another in Bhondsi
Gurgaon: A 29-year-old man lost his life in a road accident near Bhondsi on Saturday night after he was allegedly hit by a motorcycle.
The victim, identified as Amit Kumar, was a resident of Mewat and used to work in Alipur.
According to police, on Saturday around 8am, Amit was coming back home on his motorcycle along with his cousin when a speeding bike hit them from behind.

“The person on the other motorbike was driving at a very high speed. He came from behind and hit our vehicle with such an impact that my cousin lost his balance and we both were tossed on the road,” said Amit’s cousin brother, Dharambir, said in his complaint, who was with him at the time of the accident.
The complainant informed police that his brother suffered severe injuries on his head and fell unconscious afterwards. “Meanwhile, the accused driver and his friend did not even got off their bike to help us. They immediately fled from the accident spot,” Dharambir added. He then rushed his cousin to a private hospital in Sohna for the medical treatment.
“The doctors there referred him to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi since he had suffered serious injuries. However, Amit succumbed to his critical condition on his way to the hospital,” added Dharambir.
Based on the complaint of Dharambir, a case has been registered in Bhondsi police station under sections 279 (rash driving or riding in a public way) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC.
“We have registered a case based on the FIR filed by the victim’s cousin. We have initiated an investigation and are trying to identify the accused based on the details of the motorcycle and CCTV cameras installed in the area,” said a police officer from the concerned police station.
