MUMBAI: Stating there have been several instances of customers falling prey to
fraudsters,
the Reserve Bank of India warned citizens to be cautious and adopt safety measures in digital transactions.
In a general advisory, RBI said reports of fraudsters cheating customers on various pretexts such as KYC completion had emerged. The central bank urged consumers not to share their card details -ATM, credit, debit or prepaid card.
It has also asked users to avoid undertaking banking or other financial transactions through public, open or free wifi-networks.
