Bhopal: West central railway gets high performance WAG-12 locomotive

High performance WAG-12 locomotive arrived at Habibganj railway station in Bhopal. This locomotive is capable of generating 12,000 horsepower and carrying 6,000 tonnes of freight. It will help in freight movement in several sections which are located on high altitude. Manufactured by Alstom India, the WAG 12 loco engine weighs 180 tonnes and the series of this loco engine starts from 60020. Its length is 35 meter. The loco engine has a maximum speed of 100 km which could go upto 120 kmph.
