NEW DELHI: A Haryana-based criminal has been arrested by the Special Cell for his alleged involvement in back-to-back firing incidents outside two jewellery stores in Najafgarh and outside a builder's residence in Bindapur on Tuesday. A similar incident was reported in the first week of June where some men had fired outside another jewellery store in Najafgarh. The gang would also leave behind threatening notes at the scene of crime.

Police said that the accused, identified as Harish, was associated with two men Manjeet and Vikas.
Sanjeev Yadav, DCP(Special Cell) said that Manjeet and Vikas received instructions from two jailed criminals Sethi and Kapil. "Harish executed these instructions. He also has eight heinous cases registered against him," said DCP Yadav. Harish is allegedly involved in a series of crime including murders, carjacking and several instances of firing that took place in just a week.
Police said after the three consecutive firing incidents, gangs operating from jails were analysed. After the scrutiny of call records, CCTV cameras and other inputs, the accused were identified as Manjeet, Vishwajeet, Vikas, Harish, Bachhi and Brijesh who were recently recruited by an interstate gang called Lawrance Bishnoi- Kala Jathedi- Akshay Palda-Raju Basodi- Sethi gang. The gang is also allegedly involved in two murder cases in Haryana.
