UP Board Class 12th Result 2020, UPMSP Intermediate Result 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: The result for UP Board class 12 exams has been declared. The UP Education Minister said that the result this year is better than that of last year as the number of students passing the exams for both class 10 and class 12 students has gone up. While the minister is announcing the result, students are unable to check their results as the websites have been facing error due to heavy load. Alternatively, students can check their marks today at the official websites — upmsp.edu.in, upresults.nic.in, and upmspresults.up.nic.in at noon.

On the bright side, Anurag Malik tops class 12 exam with 97 per cent marks. The second rank is secured by Pranjal Singh and the third rank is secured by Utkarsh Shukla. Further, the pass percentage has also gone up from 70.2 per cent last year to 74.64 per cent this year. For class 12 results too, the pass percentage increased from 80.07 per cent to 83.31 per cent.

The board exams were concluded in March and one of the longest wait for the board results will be ending today – June 27 at noon. Of the total, 24.96 lakh students appeared in regular mode and over 70,000 students in private mode. Result for all these students as well as over 30 lakh
The delay caused by the coronavirus pandemic has kept 25.86 lakh students waiting for around three months. This is one of the highest numbers of intermediate or class 12 board exam students in the country.

To pass the board exams, students need to score at least 35 per cent marks in each subject individually as well as overall. Students who are not happy with their score can apply for re-evaluation or re-checking or even getting a photostat copy of answer scripts. Also, for those who failed in one or two exams, compartmental exams will be held. This is the first time can the compartment exams will be conducted for class 12 as well. Anurag scored 485 marks out of 500 to leave behind around 25 lakh students. Asked about the preparation for the examinations, he says he would set small targets daily and try to achieve them. “Every morning when I would wake up, I would set myself a target that I need to finish these many chapters. I would study and not get distracted,” says Anurag, who plans to become an IAS officer.

The daughter of a small-scale businessman, Riya Jain topped the Uttar Pradesh, UPMSP class 10 examination with 580 marks. The 15-year-old secured 99 in Science, 98 in Mathematics, English and Social Science, 90 in Hindi and 97 in Drawing. Read her story here
While preparing for the boards, Malik shared, “I used to study for 12-14 hours a day and when the exams approached, it went up to 18 hours. I would take a break after completing a set number of chapters. Unless I achieved these targets, I did not budge.” This strategy he said, allows him to achieve every target including class 10 board exam results and now class 12 results too. Above 80 per cent girls who appeared in the state class 12 exams cleared their papers, while it was just 68.88 percent for the boys. Girls have mostly been performing better than the boys in most of the state boards conducted across the country.
Anurag Malik who emerged as the leading scorer from the 12th standard. Talking to indianexpress.com, Malik expressed his desire to succeed in life and become an IAS officer. "I want society as a whole to be more united and responsible. I can do that only if I am in a position of power. This is why I want to become a 'bada afsar' (a senior offer)," said the UP Board 12th topper.

Mahoba district has secured the maximum passing percentage this time. 89.24 per cent candidates cleared the exams from the district.

Riya Jain from Bhagpat emerged as the leading scorer from class 10 with 96.67 per cent marks, while Anurag Malik ranked one from the 12th standard with 97 per cent marks. The deputy chief minister stated that the toppers will be awarded with a prize money of Rs 1 lakh and a laptop each.
The mark sheets obtaining process to go digital this year. Students will have to register online at the website and schools will have respective ids of students. After e-verification and e-signature from the board, students to get the mark sheets from July 15. The link is likely to go live on July 1 for registration.

Dinesh Sharma, state education minister said, "While other boards could not complete exams. We have completed the exams in 15 days." He informed that the board has also started a helpline number to assist students
Students can apply for re-evaluation, re-totaling or can also get their answer scripts by demanding a photocopy. The fee for all these options increase by five times last year. As per the latest rules, to get one subject paper reevaluated, candidates will have to pay Rs 500 instead of Rs 100 earlier. With this, the UP Board’s reevaluation procedure is the costliest in the country.
In case a student fails in one or two exams, they will have an option to appear for the compartmental exam. However, in case they have failed in all five subjects, they will be marked as fail
Last year too, the result was delayed by a couple of minutes. The website does take some time to load due to heavy load. Students will have to be patient and try again. Do not forget to keep admit card ready and type the correct roll number

The fight for the best district has been among the capital - Lucknow, and Muzzafarnagar. Last year while Lucknow gave the best performance for class 12 result, for 10th Muzzafarnagar got the top rank. This year it would be worth the wait which among the two gives the highest pass percentage.
Of the 3.09 crore answer scripts, as many as 1.29 crores were from class 12 students. A total of 285 superintendents and 13,072 invigilators have completed the evaluation process

Once the links get activated students will have to click on them and fill their roll number to check the result. Thus, students need to keep their admit cards ready. Also, one should check their name, parents' name, subjects, school, and class-related information in the mark sheet. In case of any error, students should reach out to school or board to make the correction.
While the result link is available at upresults.nic.in, the same has not been activated and is expected to work from noon onward. The result will be released by deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has conveyed his wishes to students through a tweet.

UP Board is trying to get error-free certificates for both class 10 and 12 students. The respective schools have been directed to verify the data of the students. The teams of District Inspector of the Schools (DIOS) will verify the records and submit them to the board
Since schools are closed, classes for next sessions have already begun for the UP Board affiliated schools. These classes are being carried out through WhatsApp. The teachers get the course content through WhatsApp. The school education department has set up an online group for every block in the district.
Students will have to select the class they are in or for which they wish to check results and fill their details. After completing this they will have to click on the 'register' button.
The mark sheets will contain the name, school and other details of students in both English and Hindi, as per the directions of Allahabad High Court. The board has also commenced an online correction process in certificates, where the students who appeared in the exams since 2017 can get their certificates edited.

Over 3 crore answer sheets have been evaluated by the teachers in the green, orange, and red zone. Due to the pandemic, the evaluation process was put on a hault and was carried out in phases as well. UP board 10th exams 2020 were conducted from February 18 to March 3, 2020, whereas, class 12 exams were held from February 18 to March 6, 2020 and this is one of the most delayed results.
The pass percentage is on a decline over the years, in 2018 as many as 70.2 per cent students cleared the exam. This was a dip from 72.43 per cent in 2019.
This year, the number of students appearing for the exam is less than last year. For UP Board 12th, last year 29 lakh students appeared while 25.9 lakh had appeared this year. As per the states shared by the board, on the day one itself nearly 70 lakh of class 12 students skipped the exam.
To pass the class 12 exams students need to score at least 35 per cent marks in every subject as well as overall. Students will get admission to universities based on their class 12 marks. Admission to several universities including DU and SPPU has already began.
Due to the coronavirus, there will not be any list at the respective schools. This is done to ensure social distancing. Students will have to download the result score from the website. It will act as a provisional mark sheet. The final mark sheet will also have the content in Hindi. This is a new addition this year. However, official scorecard or mark sheet will be available only after the schools reopen
Unlike the previous year, UP Board high school examinations were over in 12 working days. Similarly, the intermediate exams in 15 days. Nearly 1.2 lakh teachers evaluated copies.
Like CBSE, most state boards have launched their two toll free helpline numbers: 1800-180-5310 and 1800-180-5312 for students to get replies to their queries and help them overcome stress. The helpline numbers remain active from 8 am to 8 pm.
In a statement released last month, the UPMSP result was expected to release in July. However, the UP Board has managed to prepare the result in June itself. “In the green zone, 57,11,692 (99.80%) answer sheets have been evaluated, with 1,28,37,725 (95.67 per cent) in the orange zone and 47,19,122 (52.39 per cent) in the red zone. A total of 2.32 crore (2,32,68,539) answer sheets have been evaluated, thus completing 82.66 per cent of the paper checking process,” the UPMSP statement read.
Last year, the UP Board released the High School and Intermediate examination results on April 27. The pass percentage in class 10, 12 board exam was 80.07 per cent and 70.06 per cent respectively.
