    • Union minister Smriti Irani on Sunday claimed the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation headed by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi had received funds from China.
    • Addressing a virtual rally for BJP workers in coastal Maharashtra, Irani also claimed the funds helped the Gandhi family as well.
    • "There is enough evidence that Sonia Gandhi has taken money for Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. It has helped her family as well. The then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ensured the foundation got Rs 100 crore. Why has Congress been accepting donations from the Chinese Embassy," Irani said.

    Nearly 2,000 samples collected for COVID-19 test during serological survey in Delhi on Sunday

    • Amid initial hiccups related to coordination and logistics, the 15-day serological survey continued in some parts of the national capital for the second consecutive day on Sunday with 1,947 samples collected.
    • As part of the survey, blood samples of 20,000 people will be tested to ascertain the presence of anti-bodies, the Union health ministry has said.
    • The exercise will be jointly carried out by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Delhi government till July 10.

    • The new domicile law for Jammu and Kashmir is “illegal and unconstitutional” and it is not acceptable to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference leader and Lok Sabha MP from Srinagar Farooq Abdullah said on Sunday.
    • “When we are saying that we are united against everything that they have done, which is illegal, unconstitutional, how do you think am I going to accept what is unconstitutional,” Abdullah said in Anantnag district of south Kashmir in response to a question by reporters on the new domicile law for the union territory.

    COVID-19 deaths at LNJP reduce by half in last fortnight

    • The number of deaths at the Lok Nayak Hospital, the largest COVID-19 dedicated hospital here, has decreased by around 50 percent in the last two weeks, officials said on Sunday.
    • "The number of deaths in the hospital has decreased from 100 in the week from June 6 to June 12 to 51 in the week between June 20 to June 26," an official said.

    • Paytm Payouts is a digital money transfer service for businesses to help them make payments to their employees, vendors and business partners.
    • "During this ongoing lockdown, over 5,000 companies have used Paytm Payouts to pay salaries and food allowances to employees, incentives and rewards to housekeeping, labourers and other contractual staff, and even for expenses like utility bills of their offices," Paytm said in a statement.

    DGCA issues show cause notice to AirAsia India executive after pilot alleges safety violations

    • The aviation regulator DGCA has issued a show cause notice to a top executive of AirAsia India two weeks after one of its pilots, who runs a popular YouTube channel called Flying Beast, alleged violations of safety norms by the low-cost airline, senior officials said on Sunday.
    • "A show cause notice has been issued to Manish Uppal, Head of Operations, AirAsia India after the pilot's allegations," the DGCA officials said.
