ILFS Engineering narrows loss to Rs 13.6 cr in Oct-Dec
- IL&FS Engineering on Monday reported narrowing of its consolidated net loss to Rs 13.60 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2019.
- The engineering arm of the troubled IL&FS Group had reported a total comprehensive net loss after exceptional items of Rs 34.44 crore for the corresponding quarter of 2018-19, it said in a BSE filing.

India's first COVID-19 vaccine by Bharat Biotech gets DCGI nod for human clinical trials
- The country's 'first' indigenous COVID-19 vaccine COVAXIN, developed by city-based Bharat Biotech in collaboration with ICMR and NIV, has got the nod for human clinical trials from the Drug Controller General of India, the company said on Monday.
- The Phase I and Phase II clinical trials of the vaccine for SARS-CoV-2, approved after pre-clinical studies demonstrated safety and immune response, would start across the country next month.
- The collaboration with Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Institute of Virology (NIV) was instrumental in the development of the vaccine, the company said in a release.

Unlock 2: Containment zones to be decided by States/UTs
- Lockdown shall continue to be implemented strictly in the Containment Zones till 31 July, 2020.
- Containment Zones are required to be carefully demarcated by the State/ UT Governments.
- Within the containment zones, strict perimeter control shall be maintained and only essential activities allowed.
- These Containment Zones will be notified on the websites of the respective District Collectors and by the States/UTs
- Activities in the Containment Zones shall be monitored strictly by the State/UT authorities.
- MOHFW will monitor the proper delineation of Containment Zones and implementation of the containment measures.
- States to decide on activities outside Containment Zones.
Unlock 2: New guidelines
- Domestic flights and passenger trains operations to be expanded in a calibrated manner.
- Night curfew timings from 10.00 pm to 5.00 am.
- Shops depending upon their area, can have more than 5 persons at a time
- Training institutions of the Central and State Governments will be allowed to function with effect from July 15, 2020.
- Schools, colleges and coaching institutions will remain closed till July 31, 2020.
- Opening up of international air travel will take place in a calibrated manner.
- All activities, except the following, shall be permitted outside containment zones: Metro Rail, Cinema halls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places, Social/ political/ sports/ entertainment/ academic/ cultural/ religious functions and other large congregations.

Haryana to recruit 1,000 Ayush assistants
- Haryana's Health Minister Anil Vij on Monday said to popularise yoga in the state, 1,000 Ayush assistants will be recruited on contractual basis.
- Besides, 22 Ayush coaches will be recruited on contract for various 'yogshalas' across the state.
- Vij, who is also the state home minister, said the recruitment of the assistants for the 'yogshalas' being set up in the state will be done by district-level selection committees, headed by chief executive officers of district councils.

- The Nagaland government on Monday extended the lockdown in the state till July 15 to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, a government spokesperson said.

India's hiring activities holding up better than many economies: Report
- India has been holding up better in hiring than other economies as the COVID-19 pandemic has caused disruptions across the globe with reports of layoffs, furlough and organisations freezing their hiring intentions across sectors, according to a report.
- The trend in job postings was roughly in line with last year's trend until the second week of March, global job site Indeed said in a report adding that the slowdown accelerated in the second half of March and through April to May, reflecting lockdowns on economic activities.
- As of mid-June, job postings on Indeed India declined by 51 per cent than in 2019, the report stated.
