Telangana govt will make efforts for high-speed train between Hyderabad and Vijayawada: KT Rama Rao

The minister, who participated in various developmental works and Haritha Haram programme in Huzurnagar assembly constituency in Suryapet district and Nalgonda, said if the high-speed train is started it would benefit for the development of both the states especially areas abutting national highways.

HYDERABAD: Telangana government would make efforts to bring high speed between Hyderabad and Vijayawada, Telangana municipal and industries minister KT Rama Rao said. The minister, who participated in various developmental works and Haritha Haram programme in Huzurnagar assembly constituency in Suryapet district and Nalgonda, said if the high-speed train is started it would benefit for the development of both the states especially areas abutting national highways.

The minister has been keen on bringing in high speed trains connecting Hyderabad. Last year he even expressed his displeasure when the Centre did not include Hyderabad in 10 new high-speed train corridors proposed in the country and tweeted to the Railway minister that the Centre had ignored the 5th largest city Hyderabad in the country while proposing high-speed trains corridors. The AP government earlier also evinced interest in high-speed train between the two cities Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
Meanwhile the minister said during his speech after inaugurating RDO office and laid the foundation stone for urban park and skill development centre in Huzurnagar said, chief minister KCR had brought administrative reforms in the state for convenience of the people by creating more revenue divisions, mandals and districts.
“Though the government was going through a financial crisis due to Covid 19 pandemic, it had released Rs 7,000 crore to 54 lakh farmers under Rythu Bandhu scheme apart from continuing schemes such as Kalyana Lakshmi, Aasara pensions and Shadi Mubarak,” KTR said.
TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, MPs Badugula Lingaiah Yadav and MLAs Shanampudi Saidireddy, Gadari Kishore and others were present.
