CANTON A longtime business lobbyist has been named vice president of McKinley Strategies.

Jason Paduchik, who has 25 years experience in politics, government and advocacy, will lead the firm's government affairs practice and be based in Columbus.

Ward J. "Tim" Timken Jr., founder and chief executive officer at McKinley Strategies, said Paduchik's experience and relationships in Ohio and nationwide will “will be a significant value-add for our current and future clients and will continue to set McKinley Strategies apart in the government affairs space.”

Paduchik, who lives in Grove City, most recently served as senior director of government affairs for AT&T Ohio, according to a press release from McKinley Strategies. He coordinated lobbying efforts to influence legislation and regulations concerning AT&T's business. He also served as chairman and guided legislative strategy for the Ohio Telecom Association Legislative Committee.

Before joining AT&T, Paduchik lobbied for a financial services company covering a 13-state region. He worked for the Industrial Commission and the Ohio Lottery Commission, held several positions with the National federation of Independent Business, and worked with then U.S. Sen. Mike DeWine as the assistant to the state director.

Tim Timken and Ryan Stenger formed McKinley Strategies late in 2019 as a full-service consulting firm for business, government affairs, political and grassroots campaigns. Based in Canton, the firm will have offices in Columbus and Washington, D.C.
