Three on the run for nine years nabbed

Palanpur: Three notorious criminals, who were absconding for the past nine years, were nabbed from Ganavada village in Siddhpur taluka of Patan district on Sunday.
Patan district superintendent of police (SP) Akshayraj Makwana told reporters on Monday that the three men had committed several loots and murders in Patan, Mehsana and Banaskantha districts.
Those arrested were Umar Sumar Saiyyo Siddhi, Suleiman Siddhi alias Hassan Siddhi and Piru Siddique Hayat Siddhi.
Two months ago, Umar Siddhi and his accomplices had targeted a truck parked on the highway near Chhapi and robbed the driver of Rs 20,000 by slicing his pants pocket with a blade. He is one of the most-wanted criminals and charged by Siddhpur police for several offences.
Juma Hassan has cases lodged against him in Mehsana, Siddhpur and Chhapi police stations, while Piru Siddique Hayat Siddhi was also wanted by Siddhpur police.
