CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday accorded approval to allocate and release funds amounting to about Rs 11 crore to municipal corporations of Faridabad and Panipat and municipal committees of Farrukhnagar and Pehowa for carrying out various development works including construction of roads, beautification of parks, laying of sewer line and purchase of land for the construction of stadium.

Urban local bodies department said that while funds amounting to about Rs 4 crore has been allocated to municipal corporation of Faridabad, funds of over Rs 29.29 lakh has been allocated to municipal corporation of Panipat. Funds to the tune of over Rs 4.58 crore has been allocated to municipal committee of Farrukhnagar and over Rs 1.72 crore to municipal committee of Pehowa.
He said that in municipal corporation of Faridabad, while about Rs three crore will be spent on the construction of various streets in Bharat Colony, funds of over Rs 97.96 lakh will be incurred on laying sewer pipe line from Aggarwal School more nangla road to KD School. He said that similarly, in municipal corporation, Panipat funds of over Rs 29.29 lakh will be spent on the renovation of park in Housing Board Colony and park near Sai Baba Chowk.
The spokesman said that funds of over Rs 4.58 crore will be spent on the construction of road, revenue rasta and mini bypass in different wards of Municipal Committee, Farrukhnagar whereas, funds of Rs over Rs 1.72 crore will be spent on beautification of various parks at Prithu Colony No. 9, Model Town in municipal committee, Pehowa.
Meanwhile CM Khattar Lal has also accorded approval to release funds of Rs 29.97 lakh to municipal committee, Kharkhoda to purchase land from Skill Development and Industrial Training Department for the construction of stadium at Matindu Road, Kharkhoda. The Skill Development and Industrial Training Department has already issued sanction for the transfer of 5 kanal and 2 marla land to MC, Kharkhoda for the construction of the said stadium.
