Pickleball court to be added at Mills Park, temporary closures ahead for tennis court improvements
Through grassroots fundraising, a group of Carson City pickleball players raised over $12,000. The group will be donating the funds to the Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation for court surface repairs and the conversion of one tennis court to a pickleball court.
The tennis courts at Mills Park will be closed on July 7th and 8th for crack repairs along with other repairs and improvements continuing through the month of July, which may require short-term closures.
One tennis court will be fully converted, featuring pickleball nets and lines, while the second tennis court will be lined for both sports with a permanent tennis net. This project is intended to be completed by early August.
