Mumbai: NIOS exams for special needs kids scrapped

MUMBAI: Following demands from parents, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) board cancelled Class XII exams for students with special needs. The board said it will evaluate based on project work or question-answer assessment.
Parents were unhappy with this decision. Students with special needs do not appear for all theory papers together, but now they will have to do all projects together, said a parent. The practical and theory exams were rescheduled from July 2 to August
